Bye, Bye Duke

Hops & Barley gave up Duke yesterday. She did not do it willingly like her brother did, but she did it bravely and with her own wonderful sense of style.

We bought a lovely little box for him (we've always referred to it as a he for some reason) a couple of weeks ago and he was finally put inside yesterday and placed, by H&B in the Faerie Garden in the backyard.



Then we had chocolate cupcakes and celebrated. She asked for him last night, but was told he was living in the Faerie Garden now. She didn't like that, but eventually fell asleep without much fuss.
