Big Kids

As the kids get bigger some things get easier and some get harder.

Easier: they can buckle their own seatbelts.

Harder: they get better at negotiating and rationalizing.

One of the great developments lately: Maxman has been right into building Lego machines. He spends hours putting little cars, flying machines, etc... together. He carries them around in a box and we made chalk houses for them on the driveway. The neighbour boy returned from holidays yesterday and he and Maxman have already spent a couple of hours in the basement building. I had to drag them outside to play in the sprinkler this afternoon. Lego, I thank you.
