When the Wind Blows

I can't explain it and I've thought about it a lot. Yes, I'm a grown up and I know better but, when the wind blows really, really hard I get really nervous and just a teensy bit scared.

Why? I don't know, but it's especially bad when there are big tall trees around and you can hear the leaves rustling and branches all crashing against each other. The worst time is when I'm at the cottage and the trees are going crazy and water is crashing up on shore - I do like witnessing the raw power of nature, but at the same time it really makes me feel small and helpless.

Maybe it has something to do with the awesome strength of nature and that there is usually some other weather-related occurance that comes with wind (rain, thunderstorms, etc...). Maybe it's a fear of a big tree falling on me (hey it's possible).

It's just the way I feel.

And yes, the wind is blowing really hard today and guess what - it just started to rain.
