Perfect House Guests

In the last eight weeks we have had three different sets of house guests.

They were all fantastic. The first two waves spoiled us rotten and we all got all kinds of treats. Thank you.

This last wave was pretty amazing for several reasons:

1. I got to visit with one of my favourite people in the whole entire world. I had not seen her for FOUR years! How did that happen?

2. I got to meet this wonderful woman's husband for the first time. He is, as they say, a "catch." The are cute and sweet and just perfectly lovely together.

3. Neither of them minded the herd of 3.5-year-old elephants that woke up and pounded the floor above their heads every morning.

4. The wonderful woman's husband celebrated a birthday while they were here. To celebrate he made us dinner. Homemade spaghetti and meatballs with garlic cheese bread. It was tasty and delicious.

5. I miss them already.

I would have posted a picture but they are very skittish and elusive and couldn't be caught on camera. You'll just have to take my word for it that all of the above actually took place.
