Brooms and Lego

1. Our neighbour came by on Wednesday night and said it was broom day.

Apparently once every 60 years the magnetic fields in the earth align and you can stand a broom on its bristles. I don't know anything about the veracity of this except my broom was standing in the middle of the front porch.

2. Our doorbell is hideously ugly. It came stuck in an ugly piece of plastic that was half broken. It drove me nuts. It is wireless and I just couldn't come up with a good replacement. Until today.

I built a case for the doorbell out of Lego. I drilled a small hole in the Lego to attach it to the house. I think Maxman is going to like it a lot. All that's left to do is cover up the ugly silicone guck on the right with white duct tape.
