My Crocus Patch

Everywhere you turn right now in the city the spring flowers are blooming.

A kind family member from out West sent us a bag of crocuses when we moved in to our new house.

I planted them all around the edge of the front lawn and have been so happy to see them come out to greet me the last two springs.

Here they are this year:
Now I must admit I had fantasies that all of the bulbs would bloom at the same time and I would have a ring of delicate purple flowers around my lawn. This is not the case. They all bloom at different times (weeks apart sometime). They still make me so very, very happy.

Just be patient D., they multiply every year and they bloom according to soil temperature, so wait for a year with less snow.
(I remember the parliament buildings looking like they lived amongst a purple haze!)
