High Chairs & Happy Days

Had not intended to buy high chairs for the girls.

Hadn't really thought about what we were going to do. Our kitchen is not very big and traditional high chairs are.

Then I was at IKEA this week and found these. They are a new IKEA product and so far are wonderful. They are not too big. The cover can come off and be washed. There is no tray so they are smaller (they are meant to be pulled up to the table).

(Notice H&B's outfit? She is wearing a bodysuit, a pink tutu and a crown/hairband. She got dressed all by herself this morning and has been wearing this outfit all day. She had a friend over to play this afternoon and as soon as N walked through the door she stopped and said, "Why is she wearing that?!" Knowing 4-year-old girls as I do, I realized that this was not said in judgement of H&B's choice of clothes but was a cry for her own ballerina outfit. Five minutes later N had on her own bodysuit, a gold tutu and a silk crown. They put on shows for JEM, Di and I and then spent a long time dancing for themselves in front of the mirror in the basement.)
The best part, they fold up and are tiny. The two of them are below:
Happy days in my kitchen.

  3. Nice high chairs!

We hated the high chair thought too, but found a compact wood one at Great Glebe Garage sale for $20 last summer. Same floor square footage as my dining room chair.
