Downsizing & The Kindness of Strangers

We ordered a stroller for the girls when I was still pregnant.

It finally came in yesterday. I actually went to the store to see when it was arriving (I had been told the end of November) and she told me it had come in the day before. Yahoo!!

Now instead of going out walking with a stroller each, JEM and I can each take one handle of the new stroller. It is so lovely and steers so beautifully and makes me so happy.

Turns out we had to wait so long b/c the thing had only been produced on September 29th. This means it's pretty darn fresh.

The only problem - I had Hops & Barley and Avo (in a stroller) with me. The stroller was in a big ol' box that I couldn't possibly walk home with.

Seems ridiculous that I couldn't get my two girls home with a brand spanking new twin stroller doesn't it? I told the girl that the company should let the wheels poke through so I could move it.

As I was sadly telling the sales girl that I'd be back later in the afternoon for it a beautiful pregnant woman who was just leaving the store offered to drive it to my house and drop it off for me.

So I made the store clerk babysit the girls and I carried it to her car. She drove it around the corner to my house. Turns out my house was about as close to the store as her car was (I can almost see this baby store from my house). She was so sweet and now I guess it's our turn to pay it forward.

Thank you to everyone who contributed so kindly to the purchase of this wheeled wonder. I told JEM (as we were out for a long walk fighting over who gets to push the new stroller) that now I can picture myself taking the kids to school next fall. Before the stroller came the thought of trying to get all of them to school was one of my nightmares. No more!
