How New Traditions Start

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner - whenever Thanksgiving was (dates don't mean much around here right now). That is until the girls decided that turkey was not one of their favourite foods, along with cauliflower and broccoli.

As we sat down to eat I said,

"Let's go round the table and say what we are thankful for. Who wants to go first?"

Max puts up his hand and begins.

He stands up and starts walking around.

"I'm thankful for food and treats..."

"Max," I interrupt, "Sit down. What are you doing...."

JEM interrupts me at this point. "Darc, he's walking round the table."

"...and I'm thankful for my family," Max is still walking around the table saying what he is thankful for.

Hops & Barley went next, then JEM, then me.

Voila. A new family tradition.

Speaking of family. Here is a lovely picture of Moffsy and Dutch with their Ottawa grand-babies. This was taken the day Dutch left us (so sad).

Great family tradition, one we should all adopt. Adds a little exercise (and challenge) to our other way of discussing all the things we are fortunate to have in our lives!!!
    Great idea Max,
    Love Lois
