Was playing outside with Maxman today waiting for a friend to bring Hops & Barley home (she was watching her for me this afternoon - lovely lady that she is).
The little girl across the street was out playing in her grandparents' driveway with her cousin and a neighbour boy. Maxman wanted to go play too.
"Okay, let's go," I said.
We go over and are chit chatting with everyone.
"I used to live across the street," said little cousin boy.
"Yes, I know," I said. I'm a little uncomfortable b/c his parents are now divorcing and his dad has some issues. I'm not sure where this is going so I try distraction.
"Ummm...you left some of your toys behind when you moved for my little guys to play with. Thank you that was nice." I said.
"Yeah, those were the ones the cat puked on. We didn't want those in the moving van to stink it up."
Nice ( or not so nice) little story. Not what I expected when I started reading it.
